Repeatedly in the Bible Jesus is seen as the rock, the stone and the living Word of God. Jesus tells us that He came to bring a sword and sever natural human relationships in relation to Himself (Matthew 10:34-37). Hebrews 4:12 tells us that the Word is a sword, penetrating and dividing.
