Jesus went into the desert led by the Holy Spirit to be tempted by the Devil. The outcome of this temptation is that Jesus obeys His Father. Obedience is better than sacrifice (Psalm 51:16-17; 1 Samuel 15:22; Jeremiah 44:23), therefore Jesus gives the best sacrifice. Sacrifice in the OT is associated with burning (burnt offering (Psalm 51:16-17), and hence the picture of Aaron (type of Jesus) "kissing::burning" sacrificing to the MYLORD (Moses as a type of God the Father).
