Together, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob represent God.

Abraham is the first, the Father of the nation.

Isaac is his only son.

Jacob is the one who bears children.

Abraham plants, Isaac waters, Jacob gives the increase.

The Father plants, the Son is the living water, the Holy Spirit gives the increase.

"Turn the hearts of the father's to the sons" means that God will once again hear the prayers of his people after a long period of silence.
