Riddle of the Seven
From idontknownuthin
- Rev 17:9 And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.
- 10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.
- 11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
And there are seven kings:
The seven kings represent the full revelation of Christ. This is the very purpose of the book.
This correlates to the seven generation between Adam and Jubal and Jabal. Each was a shadow of Christ.
| Cain | possesion, spear |
| Enoch | dedicated |
| Irad | wild ass |
| Mehujael | Smitten by God |
| Methusael | Man-God |
| Lamech | Powerful |
| Jabal & Jubal | Stream, stream |
Of these seven two are also listed in Seth's family. They were different people, but in the riddle game, although they are not alive, they are alive, in a way.
And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come
Five of the seven are fallen.
Enoch 'is' since he 'walked with God' and did not die.
Lamech represents Christ who is 'not yet come' but when he comes, he comes in power.
These are the seven.
