Mad dash - Exodus
From idontknownuthin
Disclaimer
This section is being produced because of a request that I just dash through the Bible and as quickly as possible outline the shadows to demonstrate their pervasiveness. One of the traps of the shadows is to fall into allegory. This happens when you depend upon the characteristics of something rather than upon the double entendre. Shadows are linked to the words in word-play. It is not allegorical invention.
If you do not do the hard work of extracting the many ideas that the word-symbol can represent, you do not have the raw material for the word-play.
The whole book is a single narrative of the It is finished theme. The focus is how he finishes his work in his people.
Outline
- Preincarnate - up through Chapter 4
- Plagues - the promises of God to His people
- Exodus - Salvation
- Wilderness - Wrestling and overcoming the flesh
- Crossing Jordan - Death, rapture
And Chapter 6 looks like a dictionary of shadows in the genealogy.
