This section is being produced because of a request that I just dash through the Bible and as quickly as possible outline the shadows to demonstrate their pervasiveness. One of the traps of the shadows is to fall into allegory. This happens when you depend upon the characteristics of something rather than upon the double entendre. Shadows are linked to the words in word-play. It is not allegorical invention.
If you do not do the hard work of extracting the many ideas that the word-symbol can represent, you do not have the raw material for the word-play.
Since I don't see the overall picture of Samuel yet, I will first flush out the riddles before solving them.
1
Samuel is a Nazarite from birth. His long hair symbolizes being made sin for long hair on a man is a disgrace, as Jesus bore our disgrace on a tree.
He was born of the "virgin bride", one in a long line of barren women. His name is "his name is El" just as Jesus was called "mighty God"
Samuel did not go to the temple to meet God until he was weaned or 'ready' and then he went to live there forever.
Hannah took three bullocks (or one bullock three years old) to the temple but they slew only one. This is another shadow of three being one. Three years may represent the three divisions of "the Book of Life".
She only loaned Samuel to the Lord. This means she expects to possess him eternally after he has died, just as the church did not possess Christ until after he died.
2
Hannah's hymn of praise contains mention of Christ:
5 They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble. 6 The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up. 7 The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
We also see "three diligent teachings in four disciplines". The priests were the sons of evil:
13 And the priests’ custom with the people was, that, when any man offered sacrifice, the priest’s servant came, while the flesh was in seething, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand; 14 And he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh unto all the Israelites that came thither.
They also stole God's portion (the church). They "took the kingdom by force".
The child Samuel served while wearing the linen burial clothes.
Year after year his mother "cast her sins upon him" as she gave him a "coat" meaning to transgress when she came up for the yearly sacrifice. This is a picture of the sacrifices of Israel being made year after year and casting their sin upon Christ.
Eli made Hannah fruitful because of Samuel. She bore three sons (the son of God) and two daughters (dual natured church).
The sons of Eli are said to make the people transgress just as they did in Jesus time, making disciple ... worse than themselves.
A promise of the real priest is made. (like Melchizadek)

Samuel hears the fourfold revelation of God before he understands God. This says that Christ understood the Son's testimony revealed through the priests, prophets, kings and judges before He submitted himself to the Father.
God says he will do w work that will "resonate" with the spiritual and the earthly.
10 After the third call, on the fourth Christ knew the voice of the Lord.
11 ¶ And the LORD said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle.
And Jesus understood the spiritual teaching of God:
19 ¶ And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground.
There was no open vision (silence of 400 years)
14The first message was woe for the priests, just as Jesus called the religious leaders hypocrites. He opened the doors of the Temple.
<20>God prevailed as Judge to the water of the completed oath. <21> God revealed himself to Christ in rest by the word of the Lord.

Israel went out to overcome the sojourner and trusted the "stone of help". While the sojourners trusted an "enclosure".
The sojourner slew 4000 the revealed-word-of-God King who was a man.
So the Israelites remembered the ark (Christ).
There is a hint that the ark is 'living' since it 'dwells'.
4 So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the covenant of the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth between the cherubims: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.
The sojourners recognize Christ as the God who freed Israel from Egypt.
Christ is taken from Israel and is in the hand of the sojourners.
Eli had judged Israel 40 years, (in the full word of God for Man) And the priesthood was removed forever.
Now Isreal went out against the immigrants and dwelt beside the stone of help and the immigrnats in the enclosure. 2They slew the Word-king man 3 \Then sought Christ to save them. 4 The ark 'dwells' between the cherubims. The Pugilist and the mouth of brass were there.
7A Great shout... 10They killed God-man king footman 11Christ was married. Pugilist and the mouth of brass were slain. 12Man of the right hand came from peace and rent his clothes with earth on his head. 18 The priesthood was dead. 21-22Christ has left Israel in heaven and on earth.
5
And the sojourners took the "stone of Help" from Israel to powerful destroyer". And brought it to the house of Fish (this is the new church)
The fish worships Christ. (As Dagon keeps falling in the dirt).
The authority and the works of the church were 'covenanted'.
The works of the Lord were glorious and He astonished them.
The men of "power" rejected Christ. And sent the body of Christ to the winepress.
6
The ark was there for the fullness of Christ.
They want to get rid of it, and are told that they are like Pharaoh, and they should not harden their hearts but send them out with a sin offering.
THey sent the ark back with golden mice and emrods in a cart pulled by milch cows.
Israel repents and accepts the ark back And Christ was with them the complete time of Christ on earth. 3 Send him away with your sins. And Christ returned to Israel with golden burnings inside and golden mice. THe men of 'the house of the sun' who is able to stand before God?
7
The Ark goes to 'my father is noble in the hill and God has helped the high priest. Christ calls Israel to repentence "turning the hearts of the children" Christ takes them to repent at the watchtower. And there was peace between Israel and a sayer.
8...
Fast track.
Grace was discontent with the Father and desired the Son,9 so after communion, so the ascended priest sat down and prevailed 10 And she was bitter of the harlot's end, judgment, mourning in heaven and earth.
11 Then Israel asked for the Messiah and promised that he would be a Nazarite. 12 The father heard the prayer 13 Now Israel spoke in wisdom and by the Spirit (lips moved) but she did not openly declare her desire. Therefor the Father thought she spoke in the Spirit. 14 How long in the spirit? 15 I have not the gospel nor taken the law, but am dead before the Lord. 19When God remembered 'grace' she bore a child. 20 And named him "His name is God"
His sons are named "my father is 'God' in heaven and on earth." and they judged the well of the completed promise. They were "evil" and rejected by the people .
The people asked for a king to judge them. And they rejected God as the earthly king. The king will receive tithes of all, (God's increase) and shall put them into his service.
9
Saul is the first man and represents the Adam and Jesus.
13 They will not eat, there is no word before the prophet comes. He blesses the sacrifice, not the priests, and it is done outside the temple.
Saul was appointed 'captain'. there are 5 synonyms for captain:
- <05057> - shew forth (the Word)
- <08269> - King
- <07101> - Cut off - priest
- <07218> - Shake
- <05387> - bear, lift up, forgive
22 Samuel made Saul sit in Jesus place. (30) 25Saul receives the "key of David" (shoulder) 27 The prophet and captain go out together, as John and Jesus did, and Samuel declares the word to Saul just as John declared Jesus the word.
10
2'Shadow of the son of my right hand ' and the prophecies are fulfilled. And the prophets are no more. (asses are gone) What shall I do for my son?
3 'Plain of Tabor' Tree on the mound. three going to the house of God with gifts resembling the gifts to baby Jesus. 4 THey give him a dual natured body 5 The prophets rejoice. 6 Christ is turned into another man The king is prophet. Saul::Jesus is not priest, his earthly sacrifice is insufficient. But he was prophet, judge and king.
11
The nations set themselves against Christ. "Dry" makes a covenant with the serpent.THe serpent wants to blind them on the right side. 8 He preaches judgment for those who don't follow him.
12
Jesus was judge not not priest. THey are warned not to forget the history (scriptures)
13
When the Philistines attacked some of the Hebrews passed through Christ to the land of overcoming the rocky region. And the people followed him filled with the spirit. And he waited until the fullness of time. And the people fled from him, as they did from Christ. So he offered his total devotion. He was made to be sin. And God forsook him. And the church took up the battle and sharpened the word.
14
Johnathon passes through two rocks , 'reknowned white rock'. Johnathon slew 20 Israel slew vanity. Johnathon becomes cursed because of the flesh (honey) His eyes were opened and he became like God. The people ate blood. Saul 'rolled a great stone" The king assembled them to eat together.
43 I did but taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in mine hand, and, lo, I must die. He was rescued "resurrected".
15
The children of the spear separate from the valley dwellers. Saul did evil as Christ was made to be sin22 to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams. Christ's obedience unto death was more valuable than even his own blood. Hence the supremacy of the burnt offering over all the others. 35Saul's death
16
7' for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.'
- Eliab - God is father
- Abinadab - My father is noble
- Shammah - astonishment, desolation
- Seven sons - all mankind. None were worthy.
11 We will not 'finish' until the youngest is here.
12 He was 'red' earthly like Adam. And had a beautiful 'eye, or fountain'. 13 The Samuel took the 'shine' of the spirit and annointed him and the Spirit of the Lord came upon Christ. 16Note:The harp here is a clue to the "stringed intrument" elsewhere. It makes one well when afflicted by a "troubling, or grievous spirit ' from God. 20And Jesse sent a prophet full of the word, a skin of living water, and a kid. And Christ became the protector of Jesus. (Christ and Jesus are one person. I use the names to refer to the human an divine natures of Christ. This may not be a proper usage but it is convenient for now.)
Saul and David
The animosity Saul had for David represents Jesus' human temptation and fear of facing the cross. Goliath (splendor) represents the first temptation of Christ in the wilderness when facing Satan. He overcame with a simple 'stone' or word of God, that knocked out Satan's authority.
17
12Christ was the son of that man of fruitfulness from the house of bread. Who's name is 'I exist' or IAM. 15Christ came and went between serving Jesus and feeding the sheep. 16The forty days temptation by Goliath confirms the 40 day temptation by Satan. 17The ephah of parched corn and ten loaves represents the brothers of Christ. 18And carry God's portion of mankind to the king of kings.
20Christ left the sheep with a keeper, and the carriage with a keeper. The one who slays Satan will be free. David is rejected twice by the people, (hints of the first two witnesses)
34 The lion and the bear are treated as one since they took a single lamb. David is there to snatch the kingdom from Saul as Christ is there to obtain the kingdom from Jesus the heir in the flesh to the throne by slaying Satan. Pr 28:15 As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people.
34And Christ put off the weapons of the flesh. He took five divided stones from the word and put them in a shepherd's vessel. (Christ comforted himself with the word [shadows] of split rocks. What are the five divided stones?
I just got distracted again.....
