R1 - What I have been calling dictionary substitutions are "semantic" riddles.

R2 - Items such as "God will provide himself a sacrifice" are "syntactical" riddles.

R3 - "Life is in the blood" defines a metaphor for us, so when we substitute 'life' for 'blood' I'll call it metaphoric.

R4 - And I must coin the term "schematic" riddle for those items such as the Tamar narrative that parallel the birth of Christ narratives in data shape.
